Broker's Comments
This boat is very easy on the eye! She's had an extreme amount of work done to her and much has been invested in the right areas - windows, wheelhouse, hatches - the list goes on - check the rest of the advert for details.
She seems like a very strong and stable platform and I'm sure could be a boat for long and blue water cruising in comfort and style.
She does need finishing off - the skills needed would generally be carpentry, electrical and all-round handy skills, to finish her off - notable things that need doing are finishing off head linings and bulkheads, installation of electrical fittings, installation of head and washing facilities and a cooker.
The forward cabins area looks like it may be put to any suitable imaginary use by her new owners.
All in all, though there is work to do, we need to appreciate what has already been done find that person with the right vision to finish off what is already a lovely space and return to her to full use as a long distance cruiser.
Information from her previous owner:
"She has been the subject of a five year refit with a great deal of money spent with professional boatyards to ensure the work has been done correctly.
Pretty much all the specialist yacht work (except the rigging) is done, the accommodation fit out is about two thirds complete but does need finishing. The internal finishing work required is mainly DIY type work, some timber work, some electrics/plumbing and final decorating. We have all the original plans/blueprints for the boat.
The work that has been professionally completed is extensive and has not been cheap, the list below summarises what has been done:
Bilges and external hull to waterline epoxy coated
Mermaid marine 80HP diesel not yet run in
New deep sea seal stern gland
New seacocks
New rudder
New stainless steel skeg
Topsides repaint
Fresh antifouling
New teak decks laid on Lloyds 100A1 ply substrate
Gunwale hull to deck join completely resealed
Cockpit locker lids resealed
New cabin sole boards all the way through
Complete new wheelhouse built in Lloyds 100A1 plywood
Bespoke new wheelhouse windows (Seaglaze)
Four new Lewmar Ocean hatches
New bespoke port and starboard fuel tanks (Tec Tanks)
New galley with bespoke solid oak worktop
New deep galley sink with fiddles
240v shore power system
New wheelhouse cushions
The above totals over £40k.
Work remaining:
12v electrics needs completing
Plumbing to galley and heads needs doing
Whilst most of the internal fit out is well progressed as the pictures show, the heads/wet room is untouched, this needs doing also the fore cabin needs lining and finishing.
There is a workshop/utility area to starboard of the passageway forward and this needs the worktop and units fitting.
There is no cooker with the boat.
The external GRP sheathing to the wheelhouse was done professionally but could do with a flow coat of gelcoat.
General external cosmetics:
She comes with all the original fittings and fixtures, spars, rigging, winches, deck wear, furling gear and a full suite of sails."
