Broker's Comments
The Macwester Wight is a heavyweight cruising yacht in the traditional style, built before the concept of 'building down to a price' caught on. These boats have cruised the oceans of the world (and still can today) as they offer sea kindly motion and a rugged quality that is often lacking in newer offerings. However, she is in need of some tlc in the cosmetic department and though her owner has spent money on upgrades, notably a nice new autohelm, cruising chute and engine ancilliary parts, a major service to her motor perhaps even a replacement engine cannot be far off. She is in commission though and her owner of the last eight years is happy and confident in her ability - so perhaps I'm wrong.
She will make a fine cruising yacht for a realistic buyer. One who knows how to treat a mature lady!
