Lifestyle & Use

The versatile design allows this vessel to be used as a fun day sailor for entertaining friends and family with the capability of reaching speeds in excess of 25 knots. It can also be suited for day charter work with passenger capacity of 30 people. She is also capable of crossing oceans and adventure sailing. The deck is enclosed with beams and hull cabins, keeping all guests safe and dry. There are two large trampolines which are great for relaxing and sunbathing.

Unique Features

The high bridge deck clearance and light displacement design make slamming virtually non-existent. With the steering console at the aft deck the skipper has a 360° degree view of the boat and the crew has controls at the base of the of the mast, making shorthanded sailing easy. The Dual Flyer 400 can also be shipped in two high 40' containers, keeping delivery costs and import duties low and is easy to assemble.

Design & Build

The tried and tested hull shape remains as the original design by Simonis Voogd Yacht Design. The changes are the introduction of the upper chine (more modern) and the two coach roofs. By having the coach roofs, we were able to raise the floor and keep fuel/water low down and in the centre of the boat. A five metre curved traveller has been added and the mast brought back 300mm. Using the latest technologies and build methods such as resin-infused core construction with epoxy resin, carbon reinforced bulkheads and cross beam, modern rig and deck gear, curved asymmetrical dagger boards, the boat is incredibly light and strong resulting in outstanding performance.
