Broker's Comments
The Cobra 850 has been summed up as a ‘steady, sedate and spacious, but slightly sporty too’ (Practical Boat Owner review August 1998) and still has a dedicated following supported by an active owners association. Around 700 were built and the majority were bilge keels (as this example is). I can see why owners like them so much with a deep safe cockpit, wide clear decks, outboard rigging and a low coachroof allowing easy access forward. Down below the headroom is good throughout and stowage is no problem with lockers everywhere. This Cobra 850 recently came ashore and has been cleaned up inside and out. For her age she has worn remarkably well though the next owner will possibly look to embark on some cosmetic upgrades ready for next season.
