Broker's Comments
We are lucky here in Norfolk to have some fine examples of sailing history around us. This particular craft was originally built by the Martham Boat & Development company renowned for the wooden craft they have turned out over the years. The 'Japonica' was originally part of the largest traditional hire fleet here on the Broads, and since her retirement she has been lovingly cared for , her current owner has just replaced her Boom, Quant pole and Mast. The nearly new Jeckels sails look in very good order and she has a cockpit cover and all over cover to keep her from the elements and carry on preserving this piece of Norfolk Broads heritage. More photographs of this vessel will be loaded shortly, Unfortunately the weather got the better of me. This boat has been viewed and photographed by Paul of Boatshed Norfolk.
