Commentaires du Broker
Purchased a few months ago to use a a temporary boat for a months summer cruising as owners main boat is in Portugal.
Sailed from Essex to Southampton in June.
A very basic long keeled sailing boat built in 1974 in GRP by Marcon Marine.
Yachting Monthly Review of the design:
July 10, 2009
Cutlass 27
This typical Alan Hill-designed long-keeled cruiser was built by Marine Construction (Marcon) and first launched in 1968 as the Cutlass, but extensively updated in 1974 as the Cutlass 27. With a long production run, numbers reached nearly 200. She has four berths, 5ft l0in headroom, and basic cooking and navigating facilities in a somewhat cramped interior by modern standards. She is a good seaboat – reasonably quick and easy to handle. Construction was stout but unsophisticated. Many were home-completed. (Copyright Yachting Monthly)
Basic equipment only and very limited electrics.
Paintwork is scruffy as owner only sailing for holiday and has done little on external aesthetics.
Anti-fouled June 21
Fuel and Tanks conditioned 06/21
Fuel pump and injectors overhauled 06/21
Cleaned, re-equipped and commissioned 06/21 for a months sailing holiday.
Generally very dry inside the boat but a slight leak on port side window in heavy rain/spray.
