Back in April 1971 a new Albin Vega could be had for just a bit less than £4k. If you'd bought then, according to Yachting Monthly editor JDS, you'd have been the proud owner of number 43 in the Uk (although there were over 1200 in Scandinavian waters). At that time I was considering purchasing a three bed semi-detached chalet bungalow with rural outlook in a nice Shropshire market town for about the same money; how times change! The house today would be worth fifty times as much while the......what's this got to do with boats you might well ask? Well, do you ever wish that they still built boats like they used to? Are all the ones that you like tired, worn out dogs? Well here's the chance to buy an AS NEW Vega, as good as the day she left the Swedish shore. Her owner is a time served boat builder (Rossiters) and Surveyor. He has COMPLETELY refurbished this yacht for his own use but now sails a trimaran. His beautiful Vega has to go. She is completely ready to sail once her mast is up and she even has her original Bill of Sale from the yard (our owner is only her second) and her original Vega Handbook (in English).
Her substantial road trailer may be purchased for an additional £1500. Don't dither, I might just buy her myself!
