Commentaires du Broker
My first flotilla holiday was on a First 29 in Greece. It blew a gale for much of the time, and we were confined to harbour quite a bit. But when we did get out – boy – this was a super sailing boat: fast, responsive and reassuringly stable in a blow. They make good fast cruisers, racers or, frequently, both. The slippery hull looks fast, and the big cockpit provides plenty of race-crew room. Below decks there is an astonishing amount packed in, all illuminated by the big sliding roof-skylight in front of the main hatch. There are two good-sized double cabins fore and aft; two straight settees doubling as sea-berths; a commendably decently sized heads compartment and a small but practical galley. The big fold-out leaves on the table can cater comfortably for at least six diners. There is even room for a proper forward-facing chart table with its own seat. This is a quart’s worth of sailing yacht packed into a pint pot.
